1 tsp. salt

3  cups flour

1/4 cup warm water

2 Tbsp. sugar

1 beaten egg

These will be your best friends during this little production

Mix yeast in warm water and let set a few minutes until yeast dissolves.

Mix in milk, salt, sugar and beaten egg. Sift in flour and mix. Cover bowl with towel and let rise for one hour.

Fill a sauce pan approximately 1/3 to 1/2 full of frying oil and heat on high.

Let the fun begin! Spoon the mixture and drop into hot oil. The drops will puff up.

Flip balls over when they become golden brown on one side.

You can experiment with the amount of mixture you prefer. However, larger amounts may cause the center of mixture not to be fully cooked.

The true professional will be able to create figures…like a pig.

Enjoy! You may want to sprinkle with powdered sugar or honey.
